Here’s a larger/better photo of that Madaket/Nantucket stilt house…
My 2nd favorite tiny house on the island (I’ll have to try and dig up one of my old photos) coincidentally, is right across the street/bridge from this stilt house….
Here’s a few more for you too…. If you’ve never been to Nantucket, its beautiful (just try to avoid peak tourist season)! And talk about history too- especially in the whaling trade. If you ever have the chance, one of the best books I’ve EVER read is “In The Heart Of The Sea” By Nathaniel Philbrick. Its the story of the tragedy that befalls the whaleship “Essex”- which was the TRUE life story and inspiration behind Herman Melville’s “Moby Dick”.
