The “Crossbox Container Home” from CG architects

Came across this one while google-searching container homes, as I think the idea, and its utilization of “spent” shipping containers, is great. I’m not so much a huge fan of the ultra-modern side of things, but I do really like the look of this particular home- courtesy of C G Architects.

Its appears as if this is simply TWO 40′ containers/conex boxes in all. Used, such boxes, at least in the Massachusetts area, can be obtained for $2000.oo or so. PERFECT for recycled tiny houses/homes or cabins- as the structure is more or less already built for you.

I love the idea of the shipping container as a home. As they are very “blocky”, this one is beautifully balanced. I want to see how they are connected, i.e. interior or exterior staircase.

Hey Bud, (Nice Work)

I live a similar life, have built several small houses/cabins and in process of another. I am also a singer songwriter and have a hip song called Simply Living and Small Cabin with a Big Deck that might work for you somewhere along the line. You’re welcome to do a shoot at my place the Riley Ranch outside Nashville focus: Eco Lounge.
