Scroll further down to avoid the type-font blather, and to check out a COOL contest with MAKE MAGAZINE and my book! Contest Link:

FIRST THOUGH- THE Most frequently asked question on this blog/for my book…

Reader: Deek, do you ship overseas? (usually “to Australia?”- You Australians RULE! I’ve sold a large number of books out there, and to Tasmania, for whatever cool/bizarre reason. THANK YOU!)

Deek:  Yes- anywhere, even to Pluto! (although, its technically not a planet anyone, so I’ll have to check with the protocol of the USPS)….

2nd Most Frequently Asked Question:

Reader: Deek, is the lore true? Did you once kill a bull moose with one punch?

Deek: No, I cannot tell a lie. It was TWO punches…

Ahem…anyway, on to the REAL matter….

Make Magazine is running a contest to win a signed copy of my book, as part of their MAKEcation summer theme/series….

I was also hired on to  shoot a how-to video for their youtube channel/mag n’ site, which myself and Steve “The Magic Man” Sherrick will be doing REAL soon! Steve runs

Also- just in today- The Hitchery, a real cool little independent bookstore will be carrying “Humble Homes, Simple Shacks…” REAL soon….they’re based out of Chester, CT- a picture-perfect tiny New England town.

A few other bookstores will be mentioned/listed soon…

Anyway, I’m off to brave the heatwave/humidity here in MA, to continue working on my new cabin, which will make SEVERAL road appearances soon. Dates and festivals TBA.
